Step 1 — Brief
You send the requirement: a drawing, spec sheet, part number, or plain description of what you need, plus quantity and deadline. If the brief is thin, we come back with clarifying questions before quoting.
Step 2 — Sourcing
We identify two or three suitable suppliers from our vetted UK network, or run a fresh search where the category is new. Each supplier gets the same RFQ so quotes come back on a like-for-like basis.
Step 3 — Compare and recommend
You get a short summary: options, prices, lead times, key risks and a recommended pick. No jargon, no 40-page report — one page you can act on.
Step 4 — Approve and order
You approve the option you want. We raise the PO in your name (or ours, if you prefer we sit in the middle), confirm the order and lock in the lead time.
Step 5 — Manage delivery
We chase the supplier for updates, flag any slippage early, and handle issues if quality or lead times fall short. You have one point of contact for the whole thing.
Step 6 — Close out and record
After delivery we record the outcome — supplier performance, price paid, lead time actual vs quoted. Over time this becomes your own procurement history, ready to inform the next sourcing decision.
One-off vs ongoing
The six steps run in full for a sourcing project. For quick, urgent buys the process compresses to a same-day quote via our quick order form.
